American Dryer Extreme Air EXT series high-speed hand dryers. High speed, lightweight and compact. No heating element means these are eXtremely energy efficient!
Great new features in the EXT hand dryers, EXT 7 series:
- Universal voltage means the same unit works with 100 to 240 volt, 50 / 60 hertz systems - virtually everywhere in the world.
- Adjustable motor settings. By turning the speed of the motor down, you can reduce power requirements and the noise level of this hand dryer. (At the same time you will be reducing the speed / dry-time of the dryer.)
- At the highest settings, American Dryer ExtremeAir EXT hand dryers are high speed hand dryers, more than twice as fast as standard 30 second hand dryers.
- No heating element. This saves energy. Is it cold? Yes. Therefore it is less comfortable than a dryer with heat, but heat doesn't really dry hands in a dryer like this - it is more the force of the air that dries hands. (But After some time the motor will begin to warm up the air a little.) Even at the highest settings (10-15 seconds), this dryer uses only 540 watts! At the lowest settings, in uses only 300 watts! See the chart below for more info.
The American Dryer EXT series hand dryers are the same high speed hand dryers as the eXtremeAir GXT series hand dryers, but the GXT comes with a heating element for faster dry time and more comfort, while the EXT has no heating element to conserve energy.
If energy conservation is your number one concern, this is the hand dryer to have. This is one of the only hand dryers that the manufacturer does not call for a dedicated circuit for each unit and you can put up to 3 dryers on a line.
All models listed below work with any electrical wiring from 100 to 240 volts.

The eXtreme Air EXT hand dryer is low energy, universal voltage and has an adjustable motor. At the highest motor setting, this is a high speed hand dryer, at the lowest setting it is not, but it is a lot quieter! The chart below will help you understand how many amps your hand dryer will pull based on the voltage that you connect it to and the motor setting. We recommend the highest setting unless you are concerned with either noise or the energy draw.
